    Terms of Service

The rules for accessing and using LAWNOVA VerdictPilot.

    Last updated: April 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VerdictPilot (the "Service"), available at trial.lawnova.pro. The Service is operated by Lawnova ("Lawnova", "we", "us") in collaboration with Trial Lawyers and Legal Services Colorado LLC, its managing legal partner. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. The Service

VerdictPilot is an AI-assisted trial preparation platform that generates juror personas, trial simulations, voir dire questions, and related materials for licensed legal professionals. The Service is provided on a subscription or evaluation basis and may be updated, expanded, or reduced over time.

    2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent. Accounts are intended for attorneys, paralegals, legal support staff, law students, and other legal professionals. New accounts require email verification and administrator approval before full Service access is granted.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

    3. Not Legal Advice

VerdictPilot does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for the independent professional judgment of a licensed attorney. Juror personas, verdict probabilities, risk scores, and simulation narratives are probabilistic model outputs generated from the inputs you supply. They are offered as analytical aids only and must be reviewed, validated, and applied by a qualified human before being used in any adversarial, advisory, or decision-making context.

    4. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the Service to violate any law, court order, or rule of professional conduct.
    • Submit content you are not authorized to share or that infringes any third party right.
    • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract model weights from the Service.
    • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written consent.
    • Interfere with other users or degrade Service availability.
    • Use the Service to train competing AI models or resell its outputs as a standalone product.
    • Circumvent rate limits, account approval gates, or access controls.

    5. Your Content and Privilege

You retain all rights to the case information, documents, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Lawnova a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not use Your Content to train third-party models. In the Ollama self-hosted configuration, Your Content is processed entirely within your own environment.

You are solely responsible for determining whether submitting particular material to the Service is consistent with your duties of confidentiality and privilege.

    6. Fees

Access terms and pricing are described on the Service or communicated by our team. Trial, demonstration, and free-tier accounts may be rate limited or subject to feature restrictions. We may change fees with reasonable advance notice.

    7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, model prompts, and documentation, is owned by Lawnova and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

    8. Third-Party AI Providers

The Service integrates with third-party AI providers at your option. Your use of those providers is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

    9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular matter.

    10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawnova and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the fees you paid us for the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

    11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lawnova and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claim arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms.

    12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or cease to meet eligibility requirements. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. Sections relating to content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.

    13. Changes

We may modify these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Your continued use after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

    14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
